What is an Estate Sale?
As estate sale professionals, we get this question all the time: What exactly is an estate sale?
An estate sale is a professionally organized sale of personal belongings, typically held when a family is downsizing, moving, or handling the estate of a loved one who has passed away. Unlike a garage sale, which often consists of a few household items, an estate sale includes most—if not all—of the contents of a home.
At our estate sales, you’ll find everything from furniture, antiques, and collectibles to kitchenware, clothing, tools, and even vehicles. The goal is to liquidate as much as possible in a short period, often over a weekend, and to maximize value for the homeowner or their family.
Estate sales are a unique experience. Buyers can walk through the home, explore its treasures, and purchase items priced by our team based on market value. Every item tells a story, and for many, shopping estate sales is a way to find one-of-a-kind pieces while honoring the past.
